Goodbye Orderly, Neat, and Organized

Oh Little Reader,
remember how
Miss Dilly Bean's sister
wanted
Christmas Cheer
in the form of
sugar cookies made
from
SCRATCH,SCRATCH, SCRATCH?

Well the results are in...

The event started off
with
Orderly, Neat, and Organized.
(Miss Dilly Bean was
SO glad they were there.)

Treasured family cookie
cutters were found in
a cabinet.
(Miss Dilly Bean's sister
did not know what you do with
that pastry butter cutter
you see on the right,
Little Reader.)

So Little Reader,
do you understand
how this activity
was possibly
TOO ADVANCED
for
the
silly Dilly Bean clan!

Orderly, Neat, and Organized
decided to leave.
(They had somewhere
 else to go it seems.)

And even though
Orderly, Neat, and Organized
left for the evening,
the FAMILY
stayed
and
EVERYONE
helped.
(Miss Dilly Bean
knew that
FAMILY
staying for the activity
was
LOTS more
important
than Orderly, Neat,
and Organized
staying.)

Even if she did
secretly miss them...

Since Orderly had left,
the FAMILY
had trouble
maximizing the use
of space on the
baking sheet...

And, of course, without Neat to help the
FAMILY anymore...well...

The decorating began
and OODLES and OODLES
of sprinkles
bounced to the floor making...

one little chihuahua
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY.

Miss Dilly Bean's sister
assured
the
FAMILY
that once the cookies
made from
SCRATCH, SCRATCH, SCRATCH
were in cute little gift
baggies,
the cookies would
look
SUPER DUPER cute.

And...

Miss Dilly Bean's sister was RIGHT!

(The FAMILY wasn't sure who these
were gifts for though???)

And at the end of baking
from
SCRATCH, SCRATCH, SCRATCH
with no help
from
Orderly, Neat, and Organized,
the
FAMILY
was rewarded with
some
Yummy-in-your-Tummy
taco soup and warm, flaky
empanadas.
(and sugar cookies too!)

Hoping you have
OODLES of
FAMILY fun
even if
Orderly, Neat, and Organized
decide to split!

From Scratch?

The Dilly Beans headed
over to the home of
Miss Dilly Bean's
sister for
Christmas Cheer.

Little stocking goodies
were oohed and aahhed.

(This little guy would
look awfully cute
on the teachery desk
in Little Classroom;
don't you think,
 Little Reader?)

The pups weren't forgotten.
(The pups are NEVER forgotten
in the Dilly Bean Clan!)

Hello, Little Worry Doll.
Miss Dilly Bean is going
to need you in a wee bit
because it has been
announced by
Miss Dilly Bean's sister that...
they are going to make
sugar cookies
from
SCRATCH!
(Miss Dilly Bean does
NOT NOT NOT bake
from scratch!)

She much prefers baking from a
nice little starter box...

Apparently,
Miss Dilly Bean's sister
had been saving this
"EASY"
recipe
because making
sugar cookies from SCRATCH
would
be
"FUN"...

More highlights
 will follow soon,
Little Reader,
but here is a
preview of what
began to happen
in the kitchen
that is
ALWAYS
perfect, spotless, immaculate.

Hoping you spent
time with family
even if you
can't bake from
SCRATCH either.

Little Wings

Little Reader, you know
Miss Dilly Bean
looks up and down
and
all around every day
to see the
SUNSHINE in life.
(It's EASY to do;
Sunny Sun Sunshine
is
EVERYWHERE.)

But...pain and
sadness still
find their way
around.
(Miss Dilly Bean wishes
it weren't so...)

This little
DARLING
sympathy card was made
by a Cutie Pie
a
LONG, LONG, LONG
time ago
when
Miss Dilly Bean
lost
Casper, the class rat.
(Don't judge, Little Reader,
ratty rat rats can be
AMAZING little
pets.)

And now
the
DARLING
Cutie Pie who
made this
treasured card
for
Miss Dilly Bean
has his
own set of wings.

Rest in Peace,
sweet Cutie Pie.

(Cutie Pie,
Miss Dilly Bean
will keep your little
handmade card
FOREVER.)

Go Away Little Clock...Please

At this time of morning,
Miss Dilly Bean is usually
packing her lunch,
packing her teachery teacher bag,
and heading
over to Little Classroom to
begin another day.

But not today...!

Hello Little Christmas Break-
At 6:34 a.m.,
Miss Dilly Bean can
leisurely watch the sunrise.

At 6:34 a.m.,
Miss Dilly Bean
has
TIME, TIME,TIME
to make a
yummy-in-your-tummy
breakfast casserole
all thanks
to Little Christmas Break.

(She even has time to
let it bake for a whole HOUR
and not worry about
watching the clock
because
Little Christmas Break
is not in a hurry.)

Hoping you don't
have to watch the clock
right now either.

Happy 17

Happy 17 years, Mr. Dilly Bean!

Mr. Dilly Bean is wonderful
in MANY ways, but most especially
because 17 years ago
he began letting
Miss Dilly Bean bring
home
OODLES and OODLES
of cutie pie critters.

Starting with
Harriet, the terrier mix...

And, Little Reader, you know
OODLES and OODLES of
cutie pie critters have
been added to the
Dilly Bean Family
since then...

including the one
Mr. Dilly Bean rescued himself...

So Happy 17, Mr. Dilly Bean!

You are PERFECT for me and

Harriet
Plum
Peach
Raisin
Pumpkin
Trixie
Roachy
Rosie
Maizie
Gracie
Casper
Katie Bug
Buttercup
Daffodil

Oliver

and probably
some other
cutie pie critter out there too!

Hoping you
have someone that is
PERFECT for YOU.

A Little Detour

Miss Dilly Bean doesn't have
much to say about this little
photo except
she was delighted to
see these delicate orchids
 and more
delighted that she actually
took the time to stop and
admire their
colorful beauty.

(Miss Dilly Bean
was just zipping in
to get some
FRESH lettuce
for those two
spoiled-rotten piggies.)

Hoping you see
beauty in your day too.
